New paper published on forest beetles monitoring!

The implementation of proper and evidence-based conservation measures requires a reliable assessment of presence and/or abundance of targeted species. However this often turns out to be f particular difficulty for rare and elusive species, such as saproxylic beetles. In this paper, just published on Journal of Insect Conservation, we tested the effect of different baits and height of trapping on the detection of presence and the assessment of abundance of stag beetles and flower chafers.
